Please email the Assessment Services Department to request a free Customization Packet. Let us know if you're interested in Police, Fire or Generic First-Line Supervisor. A Test Security Agreement must be on file prior to receiving the packet.
Our Customized Test Service enables test users to create tests for upper-level positions in order to meet their individual needs. Full customization allows agencies to assess competencies that are important for effective performance in different positions within their departments. This includes a wide variety of knowledge areas:
Please be aware that you will work with an IPMA-HR customer service representative to create a required reading list for this test. Candidates must receive this reading list 60 days or more prior to the exam. Be sure to allow enough time for candidates to do the following:
If you do not provide our reading list to your candidates, you may experience a high failure rate. Please do not assume that candidates will do well on our test without having studied the information in these books. It’s possible that candidates have not been exposed to the information in these books before. The study period is important for learning purposes and is also an important developmental experience for candidates.
We also offer customers the opportunity to use their own departmental policies and standard operation procedures from which our professional item writers can create up to 25 questions that can be added to questions they choose from the knowledge areas listed above. Please note that IPMA-HR's membership discount cannot be used toward this service.
