IPMA-HR Certified Professional (IPMA-CP) Online Exam
The IPMA-CP exam is based on the Public Sector HR Essentials program. Completion of the training is required in order to take the exam.
At the completion of your training, you will be sent your certification examination instructions (exams take place on IPMA-HR's learning platform), which include a link to the exam website, and your username and password. Your login and password will expire (deactivate) 45 days after the date of receipt — expired logins will not be reactivated. Additional logins are available for an additional fee.
The IPMA-CP exam is closed book (outside help or collaboration is not allowed) and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions; you have three and half hours to complete the exam. In order to pass the IPMA-CP exam, you must correctly answer 70% of the 100 questions on the exam. Applicants are currently scoring an average raw score of 80.
Preparing for the Exam
The IPMA-CP exam is based on the Public Sector HR Essentials course and assigned textbook. We also have the IPMA-CP Certification Study Guide available for purchase for $100.00.
If you do not pass, you may re-take the IPMA-CP exam for $100.00 (per administration). To order an exam re-take: please return to the Learning Portal, open your current exam, and click on the "Did not Pass?" tab. Please be advised there are more than one version of the exam. You may re-take the IPMA-CP exam twice.
Please note: In order to become IPMA-CP certified, you must have successfully completed the Public Sector HR Essentials Program in conjunction with passing the IPMA-CP exam. One exam attempt is included with your course registration.
