Compensation

$47 – $74
per hour

Under general direction, is responsible for the day-to-day direction of Human Resources (HR) operations and provides leadership, guidance and support to staff. Plans, develops and implements Human Resources programs, policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, directs the County’s classification, selection and compensation systems, benefit plans and assists with labor relations and contract negotiations. Provides advice and consultation to County management and acts in the absence of the Director.

Job Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions, with three (3) of those years in a leadership or supervisory role

OR

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and five (5) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions, with three (3) of those years in a leadership or supervisory role

Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.

Desirable Qualifications:

Professional Human Resources Certification (i.e., SHRM, HRCI, IPMA)
