The Deputy Director of Human Resources provides day-to-day oversight, improves efficiency, and ensures excellent service delivery of citywide human resources programs. The Deputy Director will be a savvy HR professional who is knowledgeable of current and trending practices in the industry. The Deputy Director creatively addresses issues and thinks beyond bureaucracy to find innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of the organization. Collaboration across departments to find ways to say yes is essential to how the Deputy Director addresses problem solving and delivers customer service. Because the Deputy Director is responsible for accomplishing divisional goals and objectives, they must also be a dedicated project manager, who can manage timelines and projects through to successful completion while ensuring that assigned program functions meet all applicable laws and regulations.
