The Prince George's County Health Department is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Human Resources Analyst III position, grade G-24, within its Human Resources Division/Office of the Health Officer.
This is a professional and administrative level position, whereby the incumbent develops policies and procedures for implementing and coordinating training programs; coordinates and facilitates the Health Department's New Employee Orientation Program (NEOP), coordinates and manages the Departmental Volunteer Internship and Summer Youth Enrichment Programs; and ensures policies and procedures are aligned with the Department's Learning and Organizational Development Plan, and long-term strategic plan.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
The incumbent leads in developing, implementing, and coordinating the Health Department's comprehensive Learning and Organizational Development Plan; reviews and revises the Department's Workforce Development Plan to address current and future training and organizational development needs; manages the Department's NEOP calendar and orientation schedule for new employees; applies appropriate presentation techniques and instructional methods, materials, and instruments to teach and orient new employees; provides accurate, prompt, and consistent information/advice to individuals concerning the Departmental Volunteer Internship and Summer Youth Enrichment Programs; researches and responds to employees' inquiries; provides information and technical assistance to employees and supervisors regarding training policies and procedures; collects pertinent employee data and maintains accurate records on training, attendance, and participant certification; investigates, processes/analyzes, and resolves employees' complaints/concerns; assists with essential personnel functions including recruitment, classification, and employee relations; and performs other tasks and duties assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the position description; however, are within the general occupational category and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the Human Resources/Personnel Management, Organizational Development, Business/Public Management, Psychology, or closely related field; plus, two (2) years of professional level human resources experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

1. Experience as a training coordinator or facilitator.
2. Experience developing and implementing training programs.
3. One (1) year experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
4. Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets.
