The City of Santa Monica is looking for a superstar to join their superstar Human Resources team as the Human Resources Deputy Director – Special Projects. The Human Resources Department has a budget of $5 million and 27 staff members.
The City of Santa Monica’s Chief People Officer is looking for a “right hand” who will be charged with the oversight of four areas: technical, financial, operational, and strategic. The new position will be immediately engaged with assisting with the modernization of the HR department for City of Santa Monica. The department has prioritized creating a department of the future and is seeking an individual that “thinks outside of the box,” is adept at data analytics and implements the industry’s best practices.
Candidates must possess a BA/BS degree with a master’s degree being preferred, and a minimum of five years’ recent experience in the development and management of large projects, programs or policy initiatives for a business or municipal government. Experience with budget preparation/management and at least two years of supervising experienced staff is essential.
