Location: 100 Australian Avenue, Suite 300, WPB
Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday
Plans, supervises and directs clerical, paraprofessional and professional staff in the Compensation and Records sections. Prepares and maintains job descriptions and position evaluation and classification. Recommends pay levels. Advises employees and management staff on personnel policies, procedures, federal pay statutes and County merit rules. Supervises Records staff responsible for: Processing new hires, terminations, promotions and transfers, responding to subpoenas, conducting wage and employment verifications, purging and microfilming of terminated personnel files and generating a variety of reports. Plans, directs and oversees retirement process for County employees. Interprets, explains and revises pay policies for the County.
Bachelor's Degree in Public/Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field; five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial experience in Human Resources including classification, records management, compensation and employee benefits that includes one (1) year of supervision. Equivalency: Unrelated Bachelor's Degree and seven (7) years of related experience that includes one (1) year of supervision.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE IN/WITH: Classification and pay; personnel records management; government payroll processing and procedures; Florida Retirement policy and procedures; centralized records/files operations; assisting with implementations and enhancements to HRIS and employee benefit programs (must specify on application).
