Regional Government Services (RGS), and its staff, is conducting this recruitment for the East Bay Regional Parks District.
The Recruitment & Classification Manager performs are wide array of duties including planning, organizing, and implementing the objectives, administrative, and operational activities of human resources programs that will include recruitment and compensation with an emphasis on supporting
diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; developing human resources program standards; supervising and evaluating staff; ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws related to human resources and Park District requirements; conducting analytical studies and special projects, as well as providing advice and assistance to Park District management, supervisors, and employees
in all human resources management areas.
The job requires a collaborative, seasoned professional who will adhere to the District’s culture of teamwork, accountability, innovation, empowerment, transparency, and service to its customers. This position reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and serves as a member of the Park District’s management team, with responsibility for providing ex vice, consultation and recommendations related to the development and implementation of the goals,objectives, policies, procedures, and priorities of human resources programs.
Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, andabilities necessary for acceptable job performance.
Example combinations include:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, industrialrelations, business/public administration, or a closely related field.
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resources, atleast two of which must have been at a supervisory level, preferably in a public agency

Each candidate’s background will be evaluated on the basis of information submitted at the timeof application, and qualified candidates will participate in a preliminary remote interview, theweek of March 8, 2021. Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to a remote Oral Panelinterview March 18, 2021. Final interviews will be the week of March 22, 2021. Only the namesof the most-qualified candidates who pass the panel interview process will be submitted to theDistrict for consideration for final selection.
Must pass a Level I background check.
In addition to the regular work schedule, this position may be required to work evenings and/orweekends to attend meetings and trainings as needed.
