Senior Human Resources Analyst

The City of Poway Human Resources department has a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team as our next Senior Human Resources Analyst.

The Senior Human Resources Analyst will lead and perform a broad range of complex administrative, analytical, and technical duties in support of the City's human resource functions including leave administration oversight, ADA/FEHA compliance, employee-employer relations, labor relations support, investigations, policy development and implementation, training programs, and related functions.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work as a collaborative strategic partner with staff from all city departments, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, be a self-motivated team player who thrives on multi-tasking, and exemplify the core values of public service including integrity, respect, accountability, and professionalism.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements/License or Certificates Required Experience:
 
Five years of recent progressively responsible experience in the human resources field. Public sector experience is highly desirable, with municipal experience preferred.
 
Education/Training:
 
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (i.e., minimum completed California units = 120 semester/180 quarter) from an accredited educational institution with major coursework in business or public administration, human resources, or a related field.
