 The Talent Acquisition Business Partner will focus on the areas of candidate talent search and engagement, as well as talent acquisition process improvement and recruitment strategy development.  The position will source candidates in a variety of occupational fields including engineering, information technology, operations, recreation, finance, human services, management etc.

 In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging sourcing tools and using a variety of proactive techniques (creative job advertising, LinkedIn Recruiter/Indeed Resume search and/or other sourcing platforms, networking etc.) to identify a diverse pipeline of talent
  • Building relationships and engaging with potential candidates
  • Identifying passive candidates and disseminating/educating public on benefits and positive work environment(s) associated with City employment
  • Partnering with universities/colleges and other organizations which includes organizing recruitment events
  • Researching, compiling and analyzing data/metrics from various sources (i.e. Applicant Recent Jobs - Talent Acquisition - SHRM HR Jobs, Jobs Tracking system reports, vendor platform reports, HRIS- reports) as it relates to talent acquisition and staffing
  • Creating various reports, memorandums and presentations as needed (i.e. Microsoft Suite)
  • Oversee the Skillsbridge/V3 and partner with military transition programs
  • Assisting with other tasks and special projects
  • This classification is a part of a job series which provides successful candidates promotional growth opportunities.

 This position is in the Staffing and Compensation division of the Human Resources department and may be classified as a Human Resource Business Partner I or Human Resource Business Partner II depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience developing innovative and creative sourcing approaches/strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting, high requisition load environment
  • Strong written, oral communication and relationship building skills
  • This position offers a remote/hybrid work schedule arrangement.

Minimum Requirements:

HR Business Partner I Minimum:
Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to six (6) years in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities and associated with such positions as human resources analyst or specialist or generalist.

HR Business Partner II Minimum:
Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to eight (8) years in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities and associated with such positions as Human Resources Specialist or Analyst.

Special Requirement:
All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
