A reading list is the list of books used by candidates to prepare for an IPMA-HR promotional test. All of our promotional tests are knowledge-based, and that knowledge comes from the books listed on each reading list.

We require that the Candidate Reading List be distributed to candidates for study purposes at least 60 days prior to their test date. It is important to remember that reading lists should not be posted year-round. Doing so would provide applicants with an unfair advantage. This would, in turn, invalidate the test results. Read more about reading lists and why they are important.

The following dates reflect the most recent update to a particular reading list. Check to verify that your reading list is the most current available. If it is not, then do not provide your candidates with the out of date reading list.
