Decades of research have shown that improving employee engagement will drive higher levels of organizational performance, including in government. As a result, many savvy public-sector organizations have taken action to measure and improve engagement.
During Public Service Recognition Week (May 3-9), the annual national celebration of the contributions of public servants, and as we continue to deal with the impacts of COVID-19, it is more important than ever to focus on how to maintain and improve employee engagement in government.
This May 6, 2020 webinar will feature Brooke Stream, Manager of Organizational Effectiveness, City of Henderson, Nevada; and Bob Lavigna, Director of the CPS HR Consulting Institute for Public Sector Employee Engagement.
Bob will discuss why engagement matters and why it is important to measure engagement, and present a roadmap to improved engagement. He will also share the results of the Institute’s annual survey of engagement in the U.S. workforce, including in government.
Brooke will discuss Henderson’s strategic commitment to measuring and improving engagement; and describe the specific steps the city has taken to achieve world-class engagement, including how Henderson has responded to the COVID-19 crisis
