IPMA-HR is now recruiting members to serve on committees and the Certification Advisory Board. Committee members are eligible to receive recertification points for the IPMA-SCP and IPMA-CP.
The available committees are listed below.
The committee is responsible for evaluating the nominations for the association’s annual Honorary Life Membership, the IPMA-HR Agency Awards for Excellence and to make recommendations to the Executive Council. The committee’s work is done through e-mail and a conference call after the Award's August 2nd Deadline. The committee has one conference call to develop its recommendations for the award winners. Members of the committee must be willing to review the documentation supporting the nominations.
Certification Advisory Board (must be certified):
The advisory board is responsible for providing oversight and guidance to the IPMA-HR certification program. The committee’s work is done through e-mail and conference call. The appointment is for three years.
The committee is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the applications of 1) IPMA-HR members for the association’s graduate study fellowships, and 2) scholarships for the children of IPMA-HR members seeking undergraduate degrees. The committee members make recommendations to the Executive Council of the individuals who will receive the fellowships and scholarships. The work of the committee is done through e-mail and a conference call after the Award's August 2nd Deadline to review the applications and make recommendations for the scholarship/fellowship recipients.
The Research Committee provides insight, guidance, and direction to IPMA-HR staff in the conceptualization, development, implementation, and distribution of materials of the association’s research agenda. The committee works to identify critical issues in the public sector human resources profession and identifies research opportunities to develop and promote organizational success.
The Publications Committee reviews and evaluates IPMA-HR's magazine publication, advises on the direction of the editorial calendar, and develops partnerships for content.
