IPMA-HR is pleased to announce that Jackie Wehmeyer, IPMA-SCP, will begin serving as the 46th elected leader of the Association when she assumes the office of president on January 1, 2018. As president, Wehmeyer will focus growing membership at all levels, ensuring IPMA-HR continues to provide value to its members, and strengthening opportunities for members to learn, connect and communicate.
“I am excited to serve an incredible organization that has provided me with so much in my career, and a membership of which I am honored to be a part,” said Jackie Wehmeyer. “I hope to see you all at the International Training Conference & Expo in Kansas City September 18-21!”
Jackie Wehmeyer currently serves as the IPMA-HR South Florida Chapter’s vice president, a position she proudly held since the chapter was re-established in 2010. She has also been a member of the IPMA-HR Executive Council from 2013-2015, and has served on the Finance Committee, Fellowship Committee, and Publications Advisory Board. Jackie is currently on the 2017 International Training Conference Committee and the Legislative Taskforce.
In addition to dedicating her time to IPMA-HR, Jackie is also the director of human resources for the City of Margate, a municipality in Southeast Florida with approximately 525 employees. Her previous positions include director of human resources for the Town of Jupiter and the City of Coconut Creek, both in Florida.
Jackie earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of South Florida, and a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University. Wehmeyer has held an IPMA-HR certification since 2009, and is also currently certified through SHRM and HRCI.
